Objective:
The overall objective of the partnership programme is to strengthen Kathmandu University's (KU) capacity to carry out quality research and PhD education on major social, economic, and technical aspects of societal development in Nepal.
There are two intermediate (2 years) objectives: The first is to lay the groundwork for strengthening KU's institutional capacity to carry out research in two ajor areas (urban futures and renexable energy). The second is to improve administrative research support services; smooth, transparent and demand-driven procedures in particular.
